A Sandy Springs Democrat running in the crowded race to become the next representative of Georgia's 6th Congressional District is getting the support of two heavyweights in DeKalb County. Dunwoody City Council member Lynn Deutsch and Chamblee City Council member Leslie Robson have formally endorsed Slotin's bid for the Congressional seat.

Ron Slotin, who served in the state Senate in the 1990s and for Congress in 1996 against Cynthia McKinney, announced Wednesday, Dec. 7, a progressive campaign to win the 6th District for the Democrats. He also revived his “Votin’ for Slotin” campaign slogan and established www.votinforslotin.com as his campaign website.
A former Democratic state senator is running for Congress in Georgia’s heavily Republican 6th District. Sandy Springs businessman Ron Slotin entered the race Wednesday to succeed U.S. Rep. Tom Price, R-Roswell, who is leaving Congress after President-elect Donald Trump nominated him to become the next secretary of health and human services.
